Utah Automotive Window Tint Laws

The laws for window tint in Utah were last updated 5/5/2021.

For the windshield, anything above the AS-1 line is permitted. If your windshield does not have an AS-1 line, a strip 4 inches from the top edge of the windshield is legal.

The rear windshield, and both the rear driver and passenger windows can have any shade(VLT) of window tint.

The front passenger and driver side windows must be 43% or lighter.

No metallic or reflective window tint is legal in Utah.
